Kubota Engine Protection
Stop overheating and coolant loss before they become engine rebuilds. Practical retrofit kits for Kubota tractors, gensets and pump engines.
Alarm or Auto-shutdown
No Plumbing Changes
Why protect a Kubota engine?
- Over-temperature is silent until it isn’t—add an alarm or automatic shutdown to prevent damage.
- Low coolant events (burst hose, loose clamp) escalate quickly—detect them early.
- No plumbing changes: Surface-mount sensors and radiator probes retrofit cleanly on tractors, gensets and pump engines.
Starter kit Alarm-only
- Surface-mount temperature switch (over-temp alarm)
- Dash buzzer + warning lamp
- 12/24 V wiring harness
Good for attended equipment where the operator can respond quickly.
Standard kit Alarm + Coolant
- Temperature switch (over-temp alarm)
- WL601 Low Coolant Alarm (12/24 V, ~7 s delay)
- Wiring harness + buzzer/lamp
Covers both heat rise and sudden coolant loss. Ideal for agriculture and construction pumps.
Pro kit Alarm + Shutdown
- Temperature switch → drives shutdown relay (fuel-solenoid)
- WL701 Low Coolant Alarm (fail-safe + options)
- Optional delay timer (shutdown after alarm)
Best for unattended gensets/irrigation. Alarm first, then clean shutdown after a short delay.
Compatibility (typical Kubota models)
| Family | Common models | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Small industrial | D722, D902, D1105 | Compact gensets, pumps; surface probe under head/thermostat bolt |
| Mid-range | V1505, V1703 | Add low coolant alarm for burst-hose protection |
| Larger/Marine | V2203, V2403+ | Consider alarm + delayed shutdown; ensure adequate beacons/sirens |
If your model isn’t listed, email us the application (tractor, genset, pump, marine) and system voltage.
How it works (at a glance)
Sensors
- Surface temperature switch: mounts under an existing head/thermostat bolt—no coolant plumbing.
- Radiator low-coolant alarm: probe detects coolant drop; built-in delay reduces slosh beeps.
Control
- Alarm-only: drives lamp/buzzer for operator response.
- Auto-shutdown: triggers fuel-solenoid relay (optionally after a delay timer).
We’ll supply a wiring diagram with your order (12/24 V variants).
FAQs
Do I need to modify coolant plumbing?
No. Use a surface-mounted temperature switch under a head/thermostat bolt plus a radiator-level probe. Both retrofit without tapping hoses or housings.
Will this work on 24 V Kubota machines?
Yes. All recommended modules support 12/24 V. We’ll confirm relay ratings for your alarm/siren/solenoid.
Alarm vs shutdown—what should I choose?
For attended equipment, alarm-only is simple. For unattended gensets or pumps, choose alarm first, then delayed shutdown for safety.
Where should I mount the surface probe?
Prefer a cylinder-head bolt near the thermostat housing or water outlet. Avoid exhaust-side hot spots that don’t reflect coolant temperature.
Can you supply a full kit with harness and diagram?
Yes. We’ll pre-select harness length, fusing, and relay base; you’ll receive a clear 12/24 V wiring diagram.
