Typical import copies often use ~1.5 mm steel and a ~3 mm pin, which can flex or wear out faster
under vibration and road shock.

Fitment, hole layout & J-hook compatibility
These Bolec clamps are designed around the same hole spacing and bolt layout as the original Jayco roof clamps.
For most Jayco pop-top caravans, they are a direct bolt-on replacement with no drilling.
The body geometry and latch position match the OEM Jayco-style caravan roof clamp.
Some Jayco vans use a slightly taller catch height — usually about 6 mm taller J-hook.
In that situation you can simply reuse your original Jayco J-hooks,
or add a small spacer behind the catch plate to bring the latch height up.
The clamp itself stays the same.
Closing tension and torque follow the original Jayco spec, so the pop-top roof can still flex
naturally during travel without being over-tightened.
